ears are capable of. Humans and cats have a similar range of hearing
on the low end of the scale, but cats can hear much higher-pitched sounds, up
to 64 kHz, which is 1.6 octaves above the range of a human.

of researchers are developing atomically thin “drumheads”,which are tens of
trillions of times thinner than the eardrums of the human,these “drumheads”
will provide cat-like hearing ability to humans.The biggest struggle for the
team of researchers was getting a broader range of signal on an extremely small
device.According to the ongoing research, these “drumheads” would be able to
receive and transmit signal across a radio frequency range.The researchers at
Case Western Reserve University believe that one day this device will use to
create the next generation of low-power communications.
This device is constructed with the hardwork and dedication of whole team.They construct
the device by exfoliating individual atomic layers from the bulk semiconductor
crystal and by using some nanofabrication and micromanipulation techniques.
Researchers also revealed that these”drumheads” needs
ultralow-power(picowatt upto nanoWatt) to sustain their high frequency
oscillations.
